DEFINITIONS

Client: A person or business that makes a booking for Services on the Website
Mop & Stick London professional cleaning .
Order: An order for Services made by the Client via the Website together with any additional information outlined during the booking process
Service(s): the services ordered by the Client via the Website

CONTRACT

By placing an Order on the Website, the Client understands that this will form a legally enforceable agreement and is bound by Mop & Stick Terms and Conditions.
The Client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to review their Order prior to booking and paying for the same on the Website. The Client acknowledges that Mop & Stick are entitled to rely upon the Order and has the absolute right to amend or withdraw the provision of the Services in the event of inaccuracies in the Client Order. The Client will be notified if such an event should arise and acknowledges that this might result in a change to the monies due.
All Orders must be made by the Client via the Website, E-mail, phone call or verbal agreement.
Mop & Stick reserves the right to suspend or withdraw the Services if payments are missing or late for any reason. The Client takes full responsibility for ensuring card details are kept updated to ensure continuity of payment.

SERVICES

When the final service is agreed between the Client and the Mop Stick , any additional requests/tasks must be confirmed with Mop & Stick before works take place.
Mop & Stick reserves the right to amend the Order, should the Client’s requirements be materially different from that which was originally envisaged.
A rough estimate of the duration of the cleaning service is given based on a basic description of the Client’s house. Please note that duration may vary and therefore a degree of flexibility is require.
Client agrees to provide all necessary cleaning detergents and equipment for the required work, unless other arrangements have been made with Mop & Stick or the Order shows otherwise. All cleaning equipment provided should be safe and in full working order.
Mop & Stick will not be responsible for triggering any alarm systems. Client must give any special instructions for deactivation/activation of any household alarm systems. The Client acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to make any changes to the booking not later than 24 hours before the clean is due to start. The Client cannot make any changes after Service is complete.
If changes are made in less than 24 hours before the clean is due to start or the cancellation is done The Client take responsibility for full payment for that Service.
The initial quote showed in the booking it’s only estimated one and it can change once the Cleaner arrived to the property.
All cleaning detergents and equipment (vacuum cleaner, mop, bucket and portable ladder) should be provided by Client unless other agreement have been made. This has to be request at the time of the booking.
If the Client does not have cleaning detergents and equipment, Mop and Broom will supply all necessary cleaning detergents and equipment for additional fee. For the cleaning materials additional fee is £3 per cleaning hour. For the equipment Mop and Broom will supply additional £45 one off delivery charge.
The Client is advised that an End of Tenancy Cleaning may take double the length of the time required for the general cleaning. After Builders Cleaning, After Party Cleaning, Deep Cleaning or Badly neglected homes may take up to three times longer than a well maintained home requiring general cleaning.

PAYMENTS

All payments must be made via the Website unless expressly agreed otherwise by Mop & Stick in writing.
Payment can be made by card on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed.
All payments must be made within 24h from the end of services unless agreed otherwise.
The customer must maintain valid debit/credit card register on Mop Stick website. The customer must ensure that all contact and payment details are accurate and not misleading.
Payment can be made by card or bank transfer. No cheque accept.
Client understands that any ‘late payments’ (that means after 14 days) may be subject to additional charges.
Payment for the End of tenancy cleaning must be done before the service will start. The agreed amount of money should be pay into the bank account.
All payments must be made in Great Britain Pounds.

The Client accepts and understands that any complaint, poor service, breakage/damage or theft must be reported within 24 hours from the service date. Failure to do so will entitle Client to no refunds or recovery cleanings.
Mop & Stick may take up to 3 working days to respond to a complaint.
All fragile and highly breakable items must be identified clearly to us, secured or removed. Items excluded from liability are: cash, jewellery, items of sentimental value, art and antiques.
Key replacement/locksmith fees are paid only if keys are lost by our operatives. There is a £30 per household liability limit.
Mop & Stick agrees to keep all Client information confidential.
In case of damage Cleaner will cover reasonable costs of repair to the item at cost (evidence required). If the item cannot be repaired Cleaner will rectify the problem by crediting the Client with the item’s present actual cash value toward a like replacement from a Cleaner?s source i.e. chosen by Cleaner. For the avoidance of doubt, all non-disputed services must have been paid for up to date prior to any repair monies being paid out.

INSURANCE

Mop & Stick has Public and Employer’s liability insurance in place.
Our Contractor have Public and Employer’s liability insurance in place. The policy will cover reasonable accidental damages caused by a cleaner.
Mop & Stick reserves the right to refuse to share any of the confidential company’s documents.

CLIENT SATISFACTION

If the Client is not completely satisfied with a cleaning job, Mop & Stick will re-clean any areas and items to Client’s satisfaction. The Client must allow Mop & Stick reasonable access to return to the property and undertake the re-clean.
Client must be present at all times during the recovery-clean. Mop & Stick reserves the right not to return a cleaner more than once.

LIABILITY

If collection of keys is required from a location outside the postal code area of the cleaning scheduled, £10 charge will apply.
Mop & Stick are not liable for:
Completing tasks which are not agreed before cleaning take place;
Cleaning jobs not complete due to the lack of suitable cleaning detergents and/or equipment in full working order, hot water or power, or suitable amount of time;
Third party entering or present at the Client’s premises during the cleaning process;
Wear or discolouring of fabric becoming more visible once dirt has been removed;
Existing damage or spillage that cannot be cleaned/removed completely using products provided by the Client i.e. cleaning detergents and equipment or standard carpet cleaning equipment;
Any damages caused by a faulty or inappropriate detergents/equipment supplied by the Client;
If the Client has got items which need special cleaning methods and special cleaning detergents, Mop & Stick reserves the right to refuse the provision of the cleaning detergents.

CANCELLATION

Client may cancel or adjust the time of the Services by giving at least [24] hours advanced notice.
Client agrees to pay the full price of a cleaning visit if the Client cancels or changes the date/time less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
Client agrees to pay the full price of the cleaning visit in the event of a lock-out caused by our cleaners being turned away; no one home to let them in; or problem with Client’s keys.
If keys are provided they must open the lock without any special efforts or skills.
Client agrees to pay the full price of one cleaning visit in case of a termination of the service if the Client has given less than 24 hours.
Client may terminate the cleaning service by giving advanced notice in via email to www.mopstick.co.uk or via the Website and specifying the last cleaning date and give reason.

AFTER CANCELLATION OF THE CLEANING SERVICE

By entering into a service agreement with Mop & Stick, the Client agrees that after the termination of the cleaning service he/she will not hire or use any domestic services provided by a present or past cleaner introduced to the Client by Mop & Stick. If the Client wishes to hire or use the Services of a Mop & Stick cleaner then the Client agrees to pay a referral fee of £400.
Mop & Stick reserves the right to make any changes to any part of these terms and conditions without giving any prior notice and must check back to the Website regularly. Should any of the above clauses change all existing Clients will be notified through the Website.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England by agreeing to be bound by them, the Client agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts of England. The Client agrees to use their best endeavours to resolve all disputes amicably with Mop & Stick prior to escalating to the Courts.
